Thank You

Good morning and a very happy
Today over at the Digi Choosday blog the team were challenged to make something that says Thank You. Well nothing says more that than a thank you card so here it is!
I have used the Winne White Christmas collection to make this, actually the alphabet from the collection. I printed all the letters out onto glossy paper and fussy cut them all out. I used some simple matting and layering on this to keep it simple and be all about the thank you. I've also used the Polkadoodles Flower Flourish die, and the Polkadoodles Flower 2 die. I've actually made two of these, one for my cuzzie for having us for Christmas, and one for our friends for having us over for New Year. Here is a close up for you.
So pop over to the team blog to see what everyone else has made and of course grab today's massive discount code. And I'll see you soon.

Celebrate the New Year

Good morning everyone, I'm here with another make for the Polkadoodles blog, this time back with my own team, and we were challenged to make something to do with celebrations or New Year, so I went with both and here it is.
I used the Frosted Winter collection to make this. I printed the papers onto card so I could distress the edges and mount them onto 3D foam. The purple card at the back is a shimmery purple which is perfect for this collection, although it doesn't show up in photos. I them fussy cut all the letters and numbers and mounted them on 3D foam as well. I then added a flower and some gems to finish it off.

New Year

Good morning and a very happy
Today over at the Digi Choosday blog the team were challenged to make something for New Year, or just something new. I opted to make a New Year card and here it is.
Once again I used the Frosted Winter collection. I think the colours on this are just perfect for this time of year, and they are my fave colours too! I lined all the letters up using My Craft Studio so I could get them all the same size and on the same line so they were level. I then printed them out and cut using my scissors. I layered up a few flowers and added some stamens and some foliage to add some extra interest. I finished it off by adding some gems in the top corner and around the numbers.

Not a card

Good morning everyone. I'm here today with a make for the Polkadoodles challenge blog. I'm actually gate crashing the other team, I hope they don't mind!
The team were challenged to make something else other than a card. Now my regular followers will be expecting me to make a tag, one crafter calls me the queen of tags lol. Well sorry, but I haven't made a tag, I've made a box! It was to hold the card I made for last weeks Digi Choosday challenge and here it is.

I used the Frosted Winter collection again to go with last weeks card of course. I printed two of the papers onto sheets of card, and printed them at A4 so I could make a larger box. I then fussy cut the embellies and letter out and glued on the lid.

And here it is with the card in it.
And for those of you who were expecting me to make a tag, how could I disappoint you!

I'll see you next week with a make for my Polkadoodles team.

Winter Birthday

Good morning and a very happy
Over at the Digi Choosday blog today the team were challenged to make something for a winter birthday and here is what I made.
I have used the stunning Frosted Winter collection to make this circular easel card. I printed everything on matt paper as it suits these images so well, and makes them more vibrant. I fussy cut them all out and mounted in place with 3D foam. I printed the image 3 times and decoupaged it up.
Here is a close up of the decoupage.
Don't forget to pop over to the blog to grab today's discount code and check out my teamies makes.
I'll see you soon with another make.

Sparkle

Good morning everyone, it's nearly the weekend already, where does the time go, it will be Christmas before we know it! So today it's time for a new challenge over at the Polkadoodles blog, and the team were challenged to make something with lots of sparkle. Well that's nice and easy at this time of year isn't it! So here is my make.
I used the Winnie White Christmas USB collection to make this card, along with lots and lots of green glitter card and loose glitter. Everything is mounted on to 3D foam as well to make it pop more.
I've added glitter to the snowman, the Believe, Snow, Sparkle and the Noel word art. I've also added it to the number 25 embellies. I've then added 3 sparkly green gems to finish it off as I thought that corner was bare.
Here are the close ups trying to catch the sparkle.

So come and join us over at the blog for a chance to win some fab prizes.
I'm entering this into the following challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks - ATG
Crimbo Crackers - ATG
Little Miss Muffet - ATG

Anything Goes

Good morning and a very happy
Today over at the Digi Choosday blog the team were given free reign to make whatever we like, just like you. So here is my make for this Anything Goes challenge.
This card is for my neighbours grand daughter and she is a beautiful red head so thought this image suited her perfectly. I've used the image, papers and embellies from the cute Winnie Special moments collection. I sat and fussy cut everything by hand which I love doing, especially at the moment as I'm still not able to colour because of the issues with my neck and shoulder. I am posting this well in advance, (9th November) so maybe I am colouring by now, who knows, I really do hope so lol
Here is a close up for you.
As always don't forget to go grab today's massive discount code from the blog, and check out what my teamies have made.

No Red or Green

Good morning and a very happy
Today over at the Digi Choosday blog the team were challenged to make something for Christmas, or winter, but to use no red or green. The challenge for you as always is nothing goes.
So I decided to make another gift, this time not a tag but a bauble for the tree. It could actually be used as a tag to start with I suppose.
I have cut the shape out on my Scan 'n Cut and the papers, image and embellies are all from Winnie White Christmas USB. I just love the soft colours on this collection, and the collection is blinking mahoosive as well, it takes so long to go through it and decide what to use!!!
So I fussy cut all the embellies out by hand except the fence and lamp post which are die cuts from the Polkadoodles Elegant Lamplight and Gate die set. I cut them in silver mirror card and then dulled them down with some white gesso. I also used the white gesso around the edges and at the bottom of the image to look like faux snow.

Here are some close ups of all the detail.

So why not come and join us to win some digis for yourself, and of course to grab today's massive discount code.

Xmas

Good morning everyone. It's time for a new challenge over at the Polkadoodles blog and this time the team were challenged to make something for Christmas. The challenge for you as always is Anything Goes. And don't forget from December we are changing to a weekly challenge.
Well I'm well on a roll with my Christmas makes, in fact I think they are all just about done now, only a couple of family ones left to do.
So here is my make for this week.

Now this started off as a couple of scraps of paper and a left over small image from one of the cutting room sheets from the Winnie Winterland collection. I looked at them and thought I would make one of my tags with them, and then changed my mind and decided to make a small card. And here is how it happened.
It was two scraps of paper and one of them was a bit bent over at the edge. But I loved the brightness of them so wanted to use them on a card. So I cut each little strip of paper into four pieces and mounted them onto a piece of white card in a patchwork style.
I then added some faux stitching with a white gel pen. I then mounted that onto a piece of green glitter card that was also a left over bit.
I then mounted that further onto another piece of white and then green glitter card before mounting onto a small white card blank. Which was also a left over bit of card after I had cut an 7x7 card from a piece of A3 card. I cut the image using the middle die from the Polkadoodles Elegant Nest set of 3 dies and mounted that onto 3D foam. Finally I had a few left over embellies that I added om 3D foam. And there you have it, a card from scraps!
