Polka Doodles card

Hello all from a dark dingy day here in Leeds, it was supposed to be cracking the flags today, but we have rain instead! I was hoping to get a few hours in the garden today as well! Oh well.
I've been playing with the new Polka Doodles Picknix CD again and have come up with this card
I just love these papers, they are sooo girly and lush. I've added a few Marriane die cuts and used a Martha Stewart border punch. I think my wide polka dot ribbon goes lovely with these papers. I've also slightly distressed the white images with the Tim Holtz Spun Sugar distress ink. The image is from Polka Doodles Candy Doodles CD.
Fingers crossed the sun come out a bit later on!

Mimic Creations

Hello everyone, it's shaping up to be a nice week here, it's about time after all that rain we've had lately. Luckily it hasn't caused us any problems, but my friend who doesn't live too far away was flooded. I hope you all have managed to escape any floods.
Anyway for todays card I have used the Card Creations Plus Mimic CD.
This has been added to the ones I am selling to raise the money for charity.
Of course it's the fabulous Aunty Gok. The papers are from DCWV, the sentiment was done using word. I have coloured the image with my ProMarkers. I've added a bow and a handmade ribbon bloom with a button centre.
See you soon.

I have finished another button bouquet this week. I've called this one Brit Chic for obvious reasons.

Birthday and Christening cards

I have been asked to make a 1st birthday card in retro style and to incorporate Disney's Cars into it, and also a christening card in the same style. After quite a bit of messing around these are what I came up with.
Everything but the cars on this one are from My Craft Studios Jewel Britannia.
The papers on this are from Stampin Up, and the embellies from Jewel Britannia again. Not what I would have in mind for a christening card but it's what was wanted! I just hope she likes the cards.

More freebie makes

Todays cards are more that I have made using magazine freebies.

Of course they are the fabulous Me To You bears. I've just kept these plain and simple. I am selling these ones to raise money for Cancer Research UK. (They are in my facebook folder) I've a few more of these to add tomorrow, so see you then. I'm off to sit in the sunshine for an hour or so now! Well, got to make the most of the sun while it's here!

Freebie makes

Hello all, hope you've all had a good weekend. I've been going through a stack of magazines that have built up on my desk and trying to use up some of the freebies that came with them.
These cards are made using some free Polka Doodles papers that came with one mag.

The images are from the Polka Doodles Candy Doodles CD, and are coloured with Copics. I've added various die cuts, some from Stampin Up, some Marianne dies and some cut on my Cameo. I've also made a paper rose from the free papers.
See you soon

Card for twins

Good morning blogland, yes, tis I again.
My next door neighbours DIL has just had twins on Wednesday night so I was asked to make a card for her, and here it is.
The image is from Funky Kits and is coloured with my Copics. I've added 2 T-shirt buttons at the top that I thought I would never use, but I think they're perfect for this card. I've used a Sizzix texture plate on centura pearl card to give the card some texture, it doesn't show up too well on the pic but it looks lovely.

Another button bouquet

Hello again, I didn't expect to be back this soon but I have finished my next button bouquet so thought I'd share it with you.

I just love the colours on this one, it's so summery. And with the sun making a rare appearance I thought I'd take the pics outside to show the colours off in natural daylight.

I'm having a little craft sale here some time at the end of the month to try to raise some money for Cancer Research UK (as I can't do the race for life) so I'm hoping that these sell for a good price so I can try to raise as much money as possible. I've seen them sell online from anything from £50 to £280. I know if I were getting married I'd love one of these and would be more than happy to pay good money for one, so fingers crossed they go for around the £100 mark.
See you soon

Oh Dear...

What am I like not blogging for so long. I honestly did intend to blog more often as I used to but time has just run away with me, it must have gone the same way as my energy lately! I think it's because I tend to put everything on facebook these days! How bad of me as I know you don't all have facebook.
I have been busy doing all different types of crafting so I'll post a few pics to show you what I've been up to.
This is a paper rose bouquet I made that was snapped up imediately by my mum for one of the girls she cares for.
I've also had a go at making a few button bouquets. I started with this one using vintage buttons that were kindly given to me by a friend.
I really enjoyed making this and have another 2 on the go so will upload pics of those once they are done.

I've also been making cards, here are a few of them.

Right, I'm off to do a bit of shopping. I'll be back soon.
