Hollywood starlet

Here is a card that I have managed to make a little bit at a time over the weekend.
The image is called Hollywood Starlet and is from Lacy Sunshine and can be found here for only $1, so go grab it quick before it goes! Please don't buy images by Heather Valentin from anywhere else as the are selling them illegally.

I have coloured the image with my Graph It markers which you can buy from Polka Doodles. The papers are from the Blueberry Hill stack by Papermania. The sentiment is from Stampin Up.

I've added some iridescent glitter around the edges to give it a sparkle.

Polka Doodles challenge week 20

The challenge over at Polka Doodles this week is to use spring colours
for my project this week I have decorated a bag. My beautiful Niece Daisy is expecting a baby in October and I am buying and stocking up on baby toiletries for her, well everyone always buys clothes so I like to buy things I know will be useful.
The image and papers are from the fabulous Fredericka CD. If you like these images but don't like CD crafting you can now also buy them as digital downloads which you can find here or as pre-printed images in a pack. You can also buy the papers as a paper stack. You can find them all here. I have coloured the image with Graph It Markers and used chalks to create the background. The sentiment is a Studio 12 stamp which you can find here, isn't it just perfect for this! I've added some Marianne D die cuts and some lace from my stash.

Lacy Sunshine Challenge

The challenge over at Lacy Sunshine is anything but square.
This is my card.

The cute image is Mostin Mouse, isn't he the cutest! The image can be found here which is the only place you should buy images by Heather Valentin anywhere else is selling them illegally!
The image is coloured with Graph It Markers and grey FlexMarkers which I buy from Polka Doodles as the service is 2nd to none! The papers are from Polka Doodles also. The embossed tickets are cut from an embossing folder.

Polka Doodles challenge week 19

The challenge over at Polka Doodles this week is Anniversary. I was asked to make a card for my mum's BF's Brother, which fit perfectly for this challenge!
For my card I have used Papers, embellishments and an image from the Love & Cherish CD. I love the papers and images on this CD, they are all so elegant. I haven't done any colouring on this which is unusual for me! I've glittered some of the embellishments and some of the petals on the roses. Everything is matted onto gold mirror card, with a few flowers and a bow added.

Cards for the twins

Here are a couple of cards I have made for my neighbours grandsons who are soon to be one!
The images are from Mo Manning and the papers are from the Pretty Tuff CD from Polka Doodles.

The images are coloured with Graph It Markers which I get from Polka Doodles. I've used a few embossing folder with Core 'dinations cardstock and sanded off. For the top card I made the rosette and also made the string embellishment. I always try to add a little something on male cards as you can't really use flowers or girly bows. I've added some faux stitching to both cards, and used Tim Holtz distress inks around the images.

Studio 12 tags

Today is my turn to post on the Polka Doodles meets Studio 12 blog. I am sharing with you some gift tags I have made.

All the papers and embellishments are from the Studio 12 CD-rom...Picknix Collection 1.
I cut the bases out of Kraft card. I cut some paper into strips and cut out all the embellishments and inked around the edges with a Tim Holtz distress ink pad. I glued the paper to the tags and added some faux stitching. I then added all the embellishments with a die cut and a bit of lace. I then punched holes into the tops and added some ribbons. I don't know whether I'll be able to part with these so may use them as book marks in some of the many books I have on the go!

The images are just so cute! I have coloured mine with Graph It Markers which I buy here at Polka Doodles. The papers are magazine freebies again (I have a huge pile of these to get through)! I've added some die cuts, flowers, twine and some pergamano butterflies.

Lacy Sunshine Challenge 7

Hello all, the challenge over at Lacy Sunshine this week is to do a monochromatic project.
Here is my DT card

I have coloured Reg's skin with GI's and the rest of him with Copics. I am waiting on some more GI's arriving, as I absolutely love them! They have become my favourite colouring medium. I get mine from Polka Doodles as I find them the cheapest around, and the fastest delivery which as a crafter is very important as we always want everything yesterday! And I'm sure if Nikky could deliver yesterday, she would!

The papers are a mag freebies which I've had for a while. I've used a set of Spellbinder dies for the image and message panel. Which I have distressed with a Festive Berry distress ink pad from Tim Holtz. The embossed hanger is die cut from a Tim Holtz Sizzix die and embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. I've used a couple of jump ring to hang the image. And the sentiment is from a Stampin Up stamp set.

Polka Doodles challenge week 16

This weeks challenge is to make a project for a new home.
I chose to make a canvas. I have used images from the Studio 12 CD-rom...Picknix Collection 1. I printed the background paper onto some printable canvas and glued it onto a cheap canvas I bought from one of those cheap shops. I then printed all the other elements onto printable canvas and glued them in place. I cut out the bunting and glued it on using silicone gel to give it a 3D effect.

 

While I'm here have you seen all the new products over at Polka Doodles.
